Hipthropologists have long suspected a trade route which ran between Ancient Egypt and the eastern shores of Hiptopia in the BV (Before Vinyl) era, and because of this exchange of goods, many examples of Egyptian influence can be seen throughout modern Hiptopian architecture and culture. Here, we see a fine example of a Hiptopian Literature Pyramid, below which the remains of unpublished novels are sent to the afterlife via the mythical River Lyx. According to legend, the (now probably wet and undecipherable) books then have their content reviewed by a council comprised of obscure beatnik poet spirits. If the story is found to be hip enough (and to contain absolutely no vampires), it is granted access into the magical shelves of The Realm of the Unpublished Writers, where its words will live on forever in complete obscurity, a great honor for any aspiring hipster/creative writing major.
